This website is the Air Force’s online center for the public to learn about and become involved in the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) process for Sheppard AFB. The Air Force encourages the public and interested parties to review the information and documents provided on this website and participate in the EIS process.

What's New?

The Air Force published the Final EIS on June 5, 2026.  The public's feasible comments and recommendations on the Draft EIS were considered by the Air Force and addressed in the Final EIS.

The Air Force is now considering the findings and analysis within the Final EIS and will sign a Record of Decision to select an alternative for implementation.  The signed Record of Decision is expected by late summer 2026 and will be posted to this website when available.
